Italtel to discuss how it is shaping futuristic critical infrastructures monitoring at the Global Information Infrastructure and Networking Symposium sponsored by IEEE

Milan, Italy, October 18, 2018 – New sensor technologies and network and data analysis technologies, such as fiber optic, 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Multi-Edge Computing (MEC), and how they can meet the emerging needs of the fast-paced industrial sector will be discussed by Italtel at the Global Information Infrastructure and Networking Symposium sponsored by IEEE.

Paolo Secondo Crosta, Head of Project Financing at Italtel, will deliver a keynote speech at the Symposium, which takes place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from Tuesday, October 23 until Thursday, October 25.

During his presentation, titled “Integrated Multi-Source Monitoring Framework for Critical Infrastructures”, Paolo will discuss how these new technologies can create an innovative open, multi-source, integrated and holistic monitoring framework for critical infrastructures which aligns with emerging needs in several industrial sectors, in particular in the mobility sector.

Paolo will also highlight that as safety and security regulations become tighter, critical infrastructures monitoring of highways, bridges and pipelines is becoming more and more critical. By adopting an innovative approach, data can be analysed faster and more effectively to meet time constraints and overcome complexities, allowing in addition to extract more and more valuable information.
